Frequently Asked Questions

Q. Is WashingtonDCDriver.com DMV-approved?

A. Yes. The WashingtonDCDriver.com program is fully approved by the Washington D.C. Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) and satisfies the DMV's mandatory traffic school course requirement for drivers who have accumulated points on their driving record. Successful completion meets the traffic school requirement, protects your driving privilege, and removes points from your official DMV driving record. Please remember that you must have your DMV hearing examiner's approval prior to enrolling in our course.

Q. How quickly can I finish this course?

A. WashingtonDCDriver.com has just ten (10) short and easy-to-read chapters. You may work through each chapter at your own pace and log on or off the program at any time. Many students complete the program the same day they enroll, but this is not necessary. If you participate to satisfy your DMV requirement, you have 15 days from the DMV hearing decision date to pay your violation and 30 days from the hearing decision date to complete the course. Please make sure to complete our course and pay all necessary fees on time.

Q. What about my completion certificate?

A. After you pay for the course and pass the final exam, we will electronically notify the DC DMV of your successful completion. The DMV will remove the points from your record and notify you via e-mail or mail once removed. You do not have to visit or contact the DC DMV. For your convenience, you may order a completion certificate for your records--there is a small additional fee for this service. Register HERE or call us toll-free at (877) 398-1649.

Q How much does the course cost?

A. Our everyday low price is just $29.95, which includes the complete online course, electronic completion notification to the DMV, and live 24/7 customer support. We extend special discounts to active military personnel, seniors, students, and veterans. You can pay for the course by credit/debit card or check/money order. For more information, please contact us toll-free at (877) 398-1649.

Q. Am I eligible to participate in this course?

A. If you accumulate points on your driving record, the DMV will require you to attend a traffic school program. You may participate in WashingtonDCDriver.com to satisfy your DMV requirement, or you may participate voluntarily. Some auto insurers offer discounts for voluntary course participation. Please contact your insurance company for more information before you enroll in our course.
